The Hive KV is owned and operated by Linda and Nikki, mother and daughter, best friends, lovers of all things fashion, art and design.
After building a home and holidaying for many years in the visually stunning Kangaroo Valley on the South Coast of NSW our family finally decided to make our tree change permanent and relocate. Kangaroo Valley became home to our clan and we've never been happier. Our next move would also prove to be a big one...
The question we were asking was - What could enable us to combine our love of the valley and it's community with our sense of style and our family's background in interior design? When a gorgeous heritage listed weatherboard shop on the main street became available, the answer became clear and the dream was soon signed, sealed and delivered.
Lovingly renovated to show off its original beauty, the 120 year old building which started it's life as a store was again ready to open it's door as a beautiful retail space.

The Hive KV is a treasure trove of high quality fashion, homewares and lifestyle brands. All Australian owned brands that are beautifully designed and have given more than a nod to sustainability and ethical manufacture.

What We Do
Our focus is on retailing Australian products of great design and style, some well known brands, some smaller, lesser known brands that all have something really special to offer. We offer green retailing aimed at being eco friendly and we will always strive to improve on this.

Why The Hive?
Aside from a cracking name for a store that is creating a buzz (excuse the pun), it is the name our beautiful building was given by it's previous owner and we pay homage to this.
Devastating bushfires tore through Kangaroo Valley on 4th January 2020 causing terrible loss to the community, to many homes and very sadly to the surrounding bush and wildlife.
The community rallied together and The Hive became the epicentre of the rescue and volunteer aid effort for the valley. People came to meet and talk, to get help, to donate, to volunteer. It was both amazing and inspiring and something we will always remember.
